Panel Discussion: “Reviving Democracy: Election Reform in Virginia”
November 18, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
In this era of divisive politics, voters are hungry for concrete proposals to promote more competitive and representative elections. Join us as we discuss key election reform bills up for debate in Virginia’s General Assembly this session. Our guest speakers will be:
– Sally Hudson, an economist and Assistant Professor of Public Policy at UVa and founder of FairVote Virginia
– Ryan Snow, a UVa Law alumnus and Legal Fellow in the Voting Rights Project of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law
They’ll focus on ranked choice voting and campaign finance reforms that aim to level the playing field of electoral politics.
