May Day Rally: Stand up for working families!
May 1 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Indivisible Charlottesville will be hosting a rally for working families in front of the Albemarle County Building on McIntire Road from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 1. Please join the demonstration of solidarity with working families and everyone whose basic needs are under threat. We all stand for shared humanity when we all stand in “moral opposition” to the unlawful tactics of this administration.
This local action is part of a mass mobilization day. Hundreds of working people, parents, students and community members will rise in every corner of the country to fight for dignity, justice, and public investment in our lives.
Sign Making Event
On Wednesday, April 30th, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 717 Rugby Rd, people will be making signs in preparation for Thursday’s rally. This is volunteer-led and run; they’ll help you make a sign or you can make your own. If anyone would like to help make additional signs for others, that would be great! Some poster boards and markers will be on hand, but we might run out, so if anyone wants to bring some more supplies, that would be helpful!
